Credentials

A Pensacola native, Dr. Congiundi’s dental career began in 1976 following an A. S. Degree in Dental Hygiene. He practiced as a full-time dental hygienist for 3 years before returning academics in 1979. In 1981, he received a Bachelor of Health Science Degree from the University of Florida. He continued his education at Emory University School of Dentistry, where he received his doctorate in 1985. Dr. Congiundi graduated receiving 4 separate awards: For Excellence in Crown and Bridge Dentistry, Top Senior Dental Student in Four Handed Dentistry (working with a dental assistant), Senior Scholarship Program, and First Place in the American Student Dental Association case presentation competition. Remarkably, throughout those six years, Dr. Congiundi continued to work as a dental hygienist full-time during semester breaks, and part-time while attending classes.

Dr. Congiundi began practicing general dentistry in the Tarpon Springs area of Florida in 1985. During the time spent in southwest Florida, he was active in the community as well as his profession. He has been a member of good standing in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the West Coast/Northwest District Association. Dr. Congiundi was president of the West Pasco Dental Association (1992/93). In 1992, Dr. Congiundi was awarded the status of "Fellow" in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and was elected into the Pierre Fouchard Academy. Being elected to the Pierre Fouchard Academy is very prestigious, as candidates can only be nominated by a member of this international honor dental society by showing excellence in their work. In 1995, Dr. Congiundi closed his practice in South Florida, moving back to the Florida Panhandle where he grew up as a teenager and young adult. He opened his current practice in 1996 as a general dentist, limited to Endodontics. Since that time, Dr. Congiundi has again been active in the community. He volunteered his efforts as part of the "Project: Dentists Care" until the program closed in 2001. In 2002, Dr. Congiundi became a founding member of The Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. He has been in a limited practice for almost 11 years now, and plans to remain in Pensacola until his retirement.
