There are many steps in the procedure we call endodontic therapy, but basically the space where the nerve lives inside the tooth is accessed and the nerve is removed. Then the entire network of canals is prepared to be cleaned, shaped, filled and sealed to prevent blood and other bodily fluids from leaking back up into the canal. This is done so the tooth may exist and function in your body with no discomfort.
