How long does it take?

Most procedures can be completed in one visit. The duration of the visit may vary, depending on which tooth is being treated. In our office, we like to schedule time so that we have additional time if needed, in case the case is a bit more difficult than anticipated. The general rule of thumb is an hour for a front or side tooth, and an hour and a half for a back tooth, or molar. There are times when we need additional time, and in those cases, we tend to have the patient return for a second visit to keep them comfortable and to relieve stress from holding your mouth open for too long a period of time. Sometimes a case is much more difficult than we might expect, and in order to treat you with the best possible care, a second visit is required to spend adequate time to complete the case.
