Last but not least, emergency services are available both during office hours and after office hours. I have a pager service that activates at 06:30 each morning, and runs through to 24:00 hours each night. I usually answer pages within 10 to 15 minutes, but may take up to 60-90 minutes in rare instances. There is a small up charge for ER visits during office hours, and we will get the patient out of pain, then reschedule the patient for the remainder of the treatment at a later time. Weekends and after hours emergencies are for just that. Not for a patient who feels they cannot afford time off from work in order to get treatment. For that reason, ER fees run $125 additional for after hours weeknights, $200 additional for weekends and holidays.
